Sofort GmbH has been part of the Klarna Group since 2014. In August 2017, Klarna made major changes to their design and visually integrated the Sofortüberweisung payment method into the Klarna product range.
With Sofort, security-conscious consumers use their own online banking details, entered through the secure payment page of Sofort. Once logged in, a one-time confirmation code is used by the consumer to authorise payment. Sofort covers anyone who has an online bank account registered in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
Sofort is a delayed notification payment method, which means it may take 2 to 14 business days to confirm the success of the payment, even when it has been deducted from the shopper’s bank account.
