Website Requirement

Some local payment methods have specific website requirements. Review these requirements here and update your website accordingly before applying. If your website doesn't meet the criteria, your payment method application may be declined, but you can always reapply through your Airwallex account after making the necessary adjustments. Note:

  1. Business Details Displayed: Your website should clearly display the following business details: company name, business registration number, and contact information (address, email, phone number)

  2. Website Matches Industry: The nature of your website must align with the industry specified in your application.

  3. Website Terms & Conditions: Your website should include key policies such as Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.

  4. Hosted Checkout Flow: Your website should display a checkout section with clear pricing and product details

  5. Website does not redirect: Your website should not redirect users to external sites

  6. Language requirements:

  • Japan (JP):

    • (1) Your website must have a fully localized Japanese version.
    • (2) Required Information in Japanese (Preferably present all the information on one page, titled 'NOTATION PAGE' or '特定商取引法に基づく表記')

      • Company name and the name of the responsible sales representative/officer
      • Company office address
      • Contact information (phone & email), including operation hours
      • Payment method names (e.g., Credit Card, Konbini, Pay-easy, PayPal)
      • Refund policy and shipment policy (including fees and delivery times)
    • (3) Telephone Requirements: A phone number operated by Japanese speakers must be publicly available. Mobile and forwarded numbers are not allowed. Domestic call rates must apply—international call rates are prohibited.

  • Indonesia (ID):

    • (1) Your website must have a fully localized Bahasa Indonesia version.
    • (2) Prices must be displayed in IDR (Indonesian Rupiah).

Additional Requirement for US merchants

If your company is registered in the US, you'll need to provide the following information to enable card payments. If you haven't submitted this information yet, we’ll reach out to help you complete it.

  1. US individual details with valid SSN or ITIN: To enable card payments, you must provide details for a US individual from your company. This individual could be a UBO, controlling person, or authorized person*. Required details include:
  • Name
  • Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
  • Date of Birth
  • Photo ID (Passport or Driver's License)
  • Full Residential Address (address should include a house number and postal code is required)
  • Job Title

    Note:

  • Beneficial Owner (UBO): Owns 25% or more of the business, directly or indirectly.

  • Controlling Person: A key individual responsible for managing the business, such as a CEO or senior executive.
  • Authorized Person: Has authority to act on behalf of the company.
  1. Primary contact information: Please provide the name, email address, and phone number of your primary contact. You can submit this information through your Airwallex account by following these steps.

    Step 1. Click 'Account'
