Whitelisting for payouts SCA compliance

Embedded financial capabilities provided to connected accounts in the UK & EU jurisdictions should comply with the PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) directive.

Platforms embedding Airwallex’s financial capabilities into their products will be required to build applications that follow defined guidelines. These are required in order for Airwallex to meet its own regulatory obligations as the regulated payment service provider for the connected accounts.

The trusted beneficiary exemption (or 'whitelisting') allows certain low-risk transactions to be exempt from SCA. However, SCA will be applied when a user creates a new trusted beneficiary or updates any trusted beneficiary information. Guidelines for how Platforms should maintain the trusted beneficiary list are presented below in this document.
