Airwallex for Startups Business Acceleration Grant

1. The Promotion commences at 8AM NZDT, Monday, 18 November 2024 and closes at 5PM NZDT on Sunday, 15 December 2024 (the ‘Promotional Period’).

2. The Promoter is Airwallex (New Zealand) Limited (the ‘Promoter’) of Level 5, 79 Queen Street, Auckland 1010 New Zealand.

3. Entry into this Promotion (an ‘Entry’) will be deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Eligibility

4. Entry is open to any New Zealand startup founder or employee, aged 18 years or over (the ‘Entrant’). The eligible startup for this Promotion must have a registered New Zealand Business Number (NZBN) and employ fewer than 100 employees.

5. Employees (including their immediate family) of the Promoter, related companies of the Promoter or Partners associated with this Promotion are ineligible to be Entrants.

6. The Promoter is not responsible for any delay in, or failure in the completion of any Entry.

The Prize

7. There will be 1 winner during the Promotional Period (the ‘Winner’). The prize will consist of a 'Business Acceleration Grant' to the value of $10,000 NZD (plus GST), designed to accelerate the Winner’s business growth.

8. The Prize will only be distributed in New Zealand, is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Promoter is not liable for any additional costs associated with the taking of a Prize and any expenses incurred beyond a Prize will be the responsibility of the Winner. 

9. This is a game of skill. The winner will be selected on or before 16 December 2024 at the Promoter’s offices at Level 5, 79 Queen Street, Auckland Central, Auckland, 1010, New Zealand.

10. The Winner will be determined by an Entrant completing the entry form and answering the question: “How could a $10k grant help you tackle your biggest growth challenge?” Entries will be judged by the Promoter based on the creativity of the response.

11. The Winner will be notified by email on or before 5PM NZDT, Friday, 20 December 2024.

12. The Winner must respond to the Promoter’s email within 3 working days to confirm acceptance and facilitate collection of their Prize by submitting an invoice to Airwallex for the grant amount (plus GST).

13. Winners are to invoice Airwallex for the grant amount with bank details and comply with Airwallex’s vendor onboarding and procurement process to enable payment processing within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.

14. Should a Winner not respond with the required information within 5 working days, the applicable Prize will be forfeited and the Promoter retains the right to select another Winner for that Prize.

General

15. The Promoter will collect, hold, use and disclose each Entrant’s personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy available at  https://www.airwallex.com/nz/terms/privacy-policy.

 Entrants agree and consent to the Promoter:

• using and disclosing the Entrant’s personal information for the purposes of conducting the Promotion, redeeming a Prize and any other matter connected to or incidental to the Promotion;

• using the Entrant’s personal information for the purposes of carrying out marketing, planning, product development and promotional campaigns, in any media including email and SMS, unless an Entrant otherwise withdraws their consent to the use of their information in this manner;

• using an Entrant’s Entry for marketing and promotional purposes, including participating in a case study interview and publishing the content on https://www.airwallex.com/nz/blog.

• By submitting an Entry, Entrants grant the Promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable, unrestricted, worldwide licence to use, copy sublicense, reproduce, distribute, redistribute, modify, adapt, publish, edit, translate, transit, create derivative works of, publish and/or broadcast or display any material or other information submitted by an Entrant as part of this Promotion.

• Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible Entries will be deemed invalid and will be removed.

• The Promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Entries and Entrants and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an Entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the Entry process including the use of any form of automated entry device or software.

• If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to fraud or causes beyond the control of the Promoter or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.

• Any Entrant participating in any activity for the purposes of the Promotion or in respect of a Prize agrees to fully release and indemnify, to the maximum extent permissible by law, the Promoter and their respective contractors, employees, directors and officers in respect of any cost, loss, fine, penalty, expense, damage or liability, whether direct or indirect or consequential, claim for accident, injury or loss of life,  in connection with the Entrant’s participation in the Promotion or a Prize.

• To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained to personal property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its respective contractors, employees, directors and officers, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a Winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying a Winner.
