While Airwallex simplifies your cross-border transfers and financial operations, understanding the process and requirements is key to ensuring smooth transactions. Keep reading for practical tips to avoid delays and complications, and make the most of your Airwallex experience.
1. Ensure full declaration during KYC
When completing your Know Your Customer (KYC) process to activate your Airwallex account, if you engage in more than one business line, it’s important that you declare all aspects of your business nature fully and accurately. Discrepancies or undeclared business activities can result in transactions being flagged or rejected.
2. Double-check your transfer details
You should always double-check the transaction details before you submit a transfer. Ensure that key information – such as the currency, recipient’s country/region, bank account details, and business information (including address and email) – is accurate to prevent errors or delays.
Avoid fees with local payment rails.
3. Understand the criteria for eligible transactions
Airwallex only supports business transactions and does not facilitate personal transfers. In a nutshell, we support the following business-related transactions:
Fund transfer to/from a business supplier’s business account with supporting contract and invoice
Fund transfer to/from a business customer with contract and invoice as supporting document
Outbound transfer to an employee with supporting payslip and contract
4. Provide accurate documentation
All transactions processed through Airwallex are subject to regulatory requirements. We recommend that you prepare the related supporting documentation to back your transfers to ensure smooth processing. These documents can include contracts, invoices, and agreements that prove your relationship with your business suppliers, customers, and employees.
5. Avoid prohibited activities in the Acceptable Use Policy
Refrain from engaging in transactions that violate our Acceptable Use Policy or are prohibited by our networks or local payment providers. Airwallex can only be used for lawful purposes. Certain industries, such as gambling, adult entertainment, and weapon manufacturing, are excluded from our services.
6. Use Airwallex Payment Acceptance for customer payments
If you need to receive payments from individual customers, please use our Airwallex Payments – including Airwallex Checkout and Payment Links – instead of general bank transfers. This product suite is designed specifically for accepting payments from individual customers worldwide via their preferred payment methods. You may easily integrate Airwallex Checkout with popular eCommerce platforms, or create sharable Payment Links in just minutes.
Please note that additional Know Your Business (KYB) verification may be required to process payments from individual customers.
7. Know when to seek support
If you run into any issues or have questions about your transactions, you can always reach out to your dedicated account manager or contact support at [email protected]. They are there to help guide you through and resolve any challenges you may face.
Avoid fees with local payment rails.
Airwallex’s commitment to security
Security is at the forefront of Airwallex’s service commitment. Our multi-layered security approach includes regulatory compliance, advanced fraud detection systems, SSL encryption, 2FA, PCI DSS compliance to protect credit cardholder data, and ISO 27001 certification to safeguard sensitive company and customer information.
By following the above tips, you can ensure that your transfer process is smooth and hassle-free with Airwallex. We are your reliable partner to help manage your cross-border payments securely, allowing you to focus on expanding your business globally.
