Meow’s ambition: save businesses money

Meow, co-founded by Brandon Arvanaghi and Bryce Crawford, is a fintech company on a mission to provide every business with transparent, easy-to-use financial services. Its main goal is to help startups, mid-market, and small companies ‌maximize savings and financial gains.

Powered by sponsor banks, Meow’s suite of financial services includes high-yield checking accounts, direct access to laddered US Treasury Bills (T-bills), and a digital platform that simplifies multi-account management.

Amid growing demand for liquidity and stability, businesses are turning to secure, high-yield investment options to fuel growth. Meow’s technology platform makes this easy while passing the maximum savings possible to the end customer.

The challenge

Launching a new product without compromising on savings or speed

Meow wanted to launch a new business card offering that would align with its core mission: helping companies save more and keep more. But offering global expense cards tied to business accounts isn’t simple, especially when the goal is to pass real financial benefits back to customers.

To deliver cash back and reduce foreign exchange (FX) costs, Meow needed a provider that offered embedded card infrastructure, seamless international capabilities, and fast, flexible APIs. Most importantly, it needed a partner that could move as quickly as its product team – and support future growth without requiring multiple vendors or costly custom integrations.

The solution

A strategic partnership with Airwallex

That’s when Meow came to Airwallex. Together, the companies created a Meow-branded card program that charged no transaction fees and rewarded customers with 1.5% cash back. Meow’s business customers can also choose to assign cards to employees and merchants, efficiently managing everything from travel expenses to subscriptions and payments, all through the intuitive Meow dashboard.

The partnership with Airwallex allowed Meow to scale and provide this new service more efficiently and smoothly than if it had worked with another provider.

Bryce Crawford

Co-Founder and CTO at Meow

"Airwallex stood out as the best option to help our customers save more money. We were looking for a partner that could innovate and grow alongside us, and Airwallex clearly meets that criteria."

The FX savings were another big win for Meow. Meow’s customers can save up to 2% on foreign exchange transactions. “I haven't seen that offered anywhere,” Crawford explained. With higher yields, cash back, and the ability to save on international transaction fees, Meow can further differentiate itself in a competitive market.

The results

Immediate impact and a foundation for future growth

Meow's integration with Airwallex has been a game-changer. Using Airwallex’s APIs, Meow cut integration time in half compared to other providers, enabling faster deployment of the card program’s core digital components and freeing up resources to focus on compliance. These time savings helped reduce headcount costs and brought the card to market ahead of schedule.

Meow currently serves over 1,000 US businesses and is expanding its reach among small and midsize companies. Future goals include enhancing the card experience and expanding international payout capabilities. Since Meow uses a single integration with Airwallex’s APIs, it’s now easier for the business to develop and roll out additional offerings tied to the new card product.

As Meow expands into new jurisdictions, the strategic Airwallex partnership facilitates swift and compliant scalability.
