We’re excited to announce two major releases this month. The first is the launch of Airwallex Bill Pay, a better way to manage and pay your global invoices. The second is an update to our Shopify payments integration which will help you boost sales by offering Apple and Google Pay at your checkout. We’ve also made updates to the Airwallex platform that will help you streamline your global money management. Read on to find out more.

New features 🎉

Simplify invoice payments with Airwallex Bill Pay 🧾

We’re excited to launch Airwallex Bill Pay, a better way to manage and pay your global invoices.

With Airwallex Bill Pay, you can manage each step of paying a bill within the Airwallex platform. Simply upload your invoices into Airwallex (we’ll extract the data so you don’t have to manually input), submit them for approval (you can build and customise your own approval workflows), then pay vendors quickly and easily via Airwallex Transfers. If you’ve connected your Airwallex account to Xero, invoices created in Airwallex can be coded using your chart of accounts or you can import approved invoices directly into Airwallex for payment.

With Airwallex Bill Pay, you can say goodbye to fractured workflows and hello to simple, efficient invoice management.

Boost your Shopify sales with Apple & Google Pay and Airwallex 🛒

We’re proud to announce that Airwallex is the first payment service provider (PSP) on Shopify to support both Apple Pay and Google Pay express checkout. More than 50% of US, UK, Canadian and Australian shoppers use Apple Pay or Google Pay when making online purchases. Adding these payment options to your checkout can help you reduce friction and increase sales.

Over the past year, we’ve partnered with Shopify to help eCommerce merchants improve their margins and grow their global customer base. If you’re a Shopify merchant, you can natively embed the Airwallex checkout into your store and collect payments in multiple currencies directly into your Airwallex account, whilst avoiding unnecessary currency conversions. You can also localise your checkout across regions with a choice of 60+ payment methods, including 5 major card networks (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay International, American Express, and JCB), and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) payment options such as Klarna, iDeal and Giropay.

What’s more, Shopify merchants can integrate Airwallex Payments into their store with no development work. To add Airwallex Payments to your store today, get in touch with our team.

Improvements 🎨

Group your Airwallex accounts across regions with Account Group 💡

If you own multiple business entities, you can use Airwallex’s Account Group feature to view your aggregated Wallet balance and transaction data in one place. You can also download reports from multiple accounts in a click, and easily transfer funds between accounts. Previously, only accounts located in the same region could be added to an Account Group. With our new update, you can add accounts in different regions to the same group, and view all your funds in one place. It’s just one of the ways we’re making global money management easier for businesses.

Top up your Wallet by direct debit deposit from a Canadian Dollar account 🇨🇦

If you're a customer that uses the Airwallex API, you can now top up your Wallet from an external Canadian Dollar bank account easily via direct debit. To add funds to connected accounts via direct debit, you must first link your external bank account to Airwallex. Before the direct debit is processed, the owner of the external bank account must authorise Airwallex to directly debit the account on your behalf.

That’s it for our release round-up. We hope these updates help you on your journey towards exponential growth.
